I could, possibly, a torn rotator cuff lifting a baby in the arm and pain? been physcial therapist?
There were cortosone injection. I'm still in discomfort. Hurt on the job as II am a teacher / child care provider
Yes, you may have some rotator cuff problems – just something as simple as what you did and maybe he was weak and this was the straw! Believe it or not, I woke up one morning and boy! II do not know I could be in pain! I could barely drive my car! My motiion range was severely disabled and had no idea what the hell I did to cause it! I went to a orthopedic doctor and they did some tests and x-rays, etc., and confirmed that he arhtritis rotator cuff and shoulder problems. The doctor said a lot of people. Suddenly he begins to arm and shoulder problem, but can not pin point exactly what happened. It seems as if you know what caused yours. Cortizone received an injection which helped the pain a bit – and returned to the doctor in about 3 weeks and physical therapy recommened. (My range of proposal still it was good, although he had referred pain (except when I tried to make some moves.) I spent about 11 physical therapy sessions (also have to do exercises at home) and my range of motion has improved a lot! (I really do not have much faith in the PT – but it really works!) I have 3 more sessions of PT and then see the doctor orthopedic again to see if any more PT will improve my range of motion much more! I scheduled 3 times per week for a month. Have you seen an orthopedic doctor and no tests or X-rays or an MRI? If you do not notice any improvement and more limited range of motion you need to do some follow-up evaluation with a specialist.
